I love this shine serum tip I got from Allure Magazine: Because shine serum can weigh heavy on hair if applied too thickly, put a dime-sized amount in your palm, then run your hairbrush bristles over your palm so the shine serum gets on the bristles. Then run the brush through hair. This helps evenly distribute the product (you can use this trick with all products, by the way).
