Invest in This: An Eyelash Curler

By February 19, 2008

Some of us have naturally long, curled eyelashes. And then there's the 95 percent of us who don't. To make eyes appear more awake and bigger, curl eyelashes, then apply mascara. And consider this: It's a myth that you can't curl lashes AFTER mascara. As long as the mascara is no longer wet and you are gentle, you can use an eyelash curler after mascara application. Also, contrary to all the fashion magazine's advice, you don't have to own Shu Uemura's pricey version. I found the drugstore brand curlers work well, too.

I agree! I’m not much of a make-up person and an eye-lash curler (without mascara)and a lip-gloss have been my favs for many years now. Do remember to wash/ change the curler ‘rubber’ frequently.

I have never in my life used an eye lash
curler. I wouldn’t ever know where to begin, how to hold it, etc. Ever since I was a little girl, I had such long eye lashes. I remember friends and relatives of my mother would comment about them to us, but I didn’t think about it again, until I started wearing make-up. Back in my day (late 1970s, and
early 1980s), young girls didn’t wear make-up, like you would see today on any given “tween.” After I was allowed to wear make-up at age 16, my friends commented that with mascara on I looked like I was wearing fake eye lashes! My lashes are long, something I have been blessed with, thanks to my parents. After I had my son 17 years ago
I could tell he would also have the long lashes, and he does, and he hates them also, b/c in his mind,
he thinks that long lashes belong on a woman, not a man. lol

I love reading everything—every article. However often I would like to purchase an item WHOLESALE for my studio, ie Heated Eyelash Curler. Can you provide that information??

I invested in a eyelash curler by Revlon called TheBeauty Tool..It came in a clear plastic pouch and had directions in it on how to use this curler before and after..Unfortunately Revlon discontinued this item and now I am having problems trying to find it online..But it’s a fantastic tool to have..Just don’t curl your lashes when they are mascara’d with Fiber Mascara..STICKY AND STUCK TOGETHER LASHES BIG TIME…But I do love this technique curling after mascara is applied. My lashes never seemed to hold a curl after I curled them..but this is much better..Curling after mascara
