How to Camouflage Damaged Ends

Forget the hat, to camouflage nasty split ends, bust out the curling iron. Whenever I'm in bad need of a hairstyle, I curl my hair. The split ends are hidden and my limp locks are immediately bouncing and fresh. You can get similar results with hot or foam rollers.

I have been trying to grow my hair out for a year and a half, but every time i seem to get a little length, someone says that i should get a trim to get rid of the dead ends..and i’m back to square one. it’s been over a year since i last had a real cut, and 2 or 3 months since my last trim. i’m afraid to get my hair trimmed again because it never seems to make any progress when i trim it. do you have any suggestions?

Alexis, I’ve gone through the same thing. If you have damaged ends you probably should get a trim, but make sure you tell your hairdresser to only trim an eighth of an inch off. Your hair will grow more if you trim off the old damaged ends. Only get a trim when you feel you really need to.

Oh yes I do that too. I also like sleeping on silk pillowcases. They help prevent them so my hair cuts last longer. http://www.essenceofsilk.com has a nice selection.
