Ingenious Uses for Olive Oil

Friday December 21, 2007
Just watching the Today Show and found out from a guest on the show that olive oil can be used as an eye makeup remover and to shave your legs since it's very moisturizing. So if you run out of shaving cream, just reach into your kitchen cabinet for a little bit of EVOO, as Rachael Ray would say (the extra virgen part is not necessary, actually, any olive oil will do). I once read that oil of any kind (vegetable, olive, peanut, etc) is a great natural moisturizer for super dry skin. But who wants to smell like a kitchen? P.S. Hair conditioner also works great for shaving because it's moisturizing. Shampoo is drying.

I’ve been using olive oil as an eye make up remover for years. Don’t want to smell like your kitchen? Simple, add a few drops of rose essence into your olive oil. Essential (Aroma therapy) rose oil is also excellent for mature skin, plus will balance the olive smell, if you’re bothered by it.
