Yet Another Reason to Keep a Pumice Stone in Your Shower
Tuesday September 11, 2007
Just saw stella mccartney on 41st and 5th. She is uber thin and loves the spotlight but the back of her feet is real crusty. I have never saw that much crust, not even on a new york pizza. She looks better in person though.
Dried-out, alligator feet are a huge beauty faux pas, especially this time of year when everyone's clapping around in flip-flops. To keep feet soft, I recommend keeping a pumice stone in the shower and giving the bottoms of your feet a three-minute scrub at the end of every shower. Follow with moisturizer.

Ditch the pumice stone if you are training for a marathon, though!!! Your Muumuus to Marathon reporter needs to keep her calluses intact as they develop, to help protect her feet from blisters.
Calluses are distance walker/runners friends. Marathon training means no pretty feet for the next 9 months!
That is a really good idea and, if used gently, pumice stones are good for knees and elbows.
