Beware the Toe Cleavage Faux Pas

This week I read in "US Weekly" (I think it was "US Weekly," it might have been "People"), that Nina Garcia, one of the judges from "Project Runway," finds too much toe cleavage unattractive.
Toe cleavage, for those of you who don't know, is when the slits of the toes are visible outside the shoe. You can see a picture of it here on the Shoegaga blog. This faux pas was first pointed out years ago by Manolo Blahnik who famously said, "the secret of toe cleavage -- a very important part of the sexuality of the shoe" is "you must only show the first two cracks."

I think toe cleavage is only sexy if you are showing only 1 cleave. Then it is suggestive of other cleavage and slyly sexy. But show another set and it turns into “shoes that don’t fit right.”
I don’t understand why so many women go crazy for Manolos.
