Is Deep Burgundy Replacing Black Nail Polish?
Friday August 17, 2007
According to this month's Lucky Magazine, a new trend for fall is to replace your tired old black nail polish for a deep burgundy, midnight blue or raisin color. Some colors they (and we) recommend: L'Oreal's "In Stroke of Midnight," Essie's "Bahama Mama" or OPI's "Light My Sapphire."

I really adore the colour of L’Oreal’s stroke of midnight, unfortunately although the colour is great the product isn’t. I did not like the way it went on, it was inconsistent and just not the quality I would have expected from L’Oreal. I was quite disappointed.
Black comes and goes as a style. It’s funny how the primary colors never completely go out of style.
I’m a big fan of OPI polish right now, but Essie is also great. L’Oreal has lost a step.
To “essie nails”, just to correct you on two things: 1) black isn’t a primary colour; the primary colours are red, blue and yellow, and 2) black isn’t even a colour, it is devoid of all colour.
