Happy New Year! Now, Try Something New...

Tuesday January 2, 2007
In honor of the New Year, I decided to try something different -- I got my eyebrows threaded. I did it in a small shop devoted to eyebrow threading in the subway station at Rockefellar Plaza, NYC. I walked by the place almost daily since it opened a year ago, so I decided to try it out. What do I think? Loved it. Not only is it much cheaper than an eyebrow waxing ($8 compared to $25), but it was a bit less painful, didn't involve sticky wax and is really a cool concept (regular sewing thread is used!). Plus, it took less than 5 minutes to do both eyes. See a step-by-step instruction on how to thread. If you've had your brows threaded, tell us about it below.

I have gotten my eyebrows threaded a lot of times. The hair comes back after 2 weeks… and it’s noticeably lighter!

I get it threaded every 2 weeks. Threading gives perfect arc shape to my eyebrows, I just can’t do without it.
