How to Fight Eczema
Tuesday December 26, 2006
Our friend D-D has suffered from eczema for years. She's sought out remedies from 'a million different places': Dermatologists, aestheticians, naturopaths, massage therapists. 'I have done it all,' she says. Here's a culmination of her best tips:
1. Eczema is triggered by cold, dry weather, stress and a bad lifestyle. But like cancer, it does go into remission.
2. Always wear gloves when you do dishes.
3. Always moisturize after you wash your hands.
4. When the exzema is really bad, moisturize when you go to bed and sleep with cotton gloves. When you shower, try Eucerin instead of soap.
5. Try to shower less, the less your hands get wet the better.
6. Cut down on stress any way you can: Try yoga, meditation exercises.
7. Avoid touching things: You're more susceptible to infections when you have a breakout.
8. Consult a nutritionist. Wheat and dairy can aggravate your eczema.

Eczema is not a one size fits all condition, nor is its remedy. I can wash my hands all day long every day and it has zero effect on my eczema. My eczema is in my ears and recurs in my ears. My father always had the same problem of eczema in his ears as well. Thanks
This is what worked for me. vasoline
rub every morning after I shower before
going to work. I swear by it. It works
for me. So I give myself a light vasoline rub down and a fragrant cherry
lotion on top. The body rubdown also is
an exercise to stretch and massage the
body. Listen it worked for me hope it
works for you
Regards and Luck

I’ve never had to deal with eczema personally, but I have a friend who recently tried Arbonne skincare products on her problem skin. After a short time, she said it is totally gone. I hope this helps.
im in the midst of a severe breakout and im miserable. my allergies were acting up over the weekend which lead to this. its all over my eyelids which are puffy and swollen from the aggravation. i usually just get it on my hands, which tighten and crack :\ my miracle is lidex. a prescription only cream. i put it on my hands, then don a pair of gloves before i go to bed at night. when i wake up in the morning its practically gone. i urge anyone who has eczema to try it!
Uff.. Gloves before sleep huh? im in the midst of a very very long breakout too.. tis all over my neck especially, and my knee hinds. Tis soo horrible. btw ill try the gloves. tanx ya’ll
I been struggling with eczema sense i was born i get it on my arms and my neck and back here are some tips. if you have aloe vera plants cut them open and gently rub it on your effected area don not scratch you will have blisters and they will pop and it will bleed i know it happend to me. also you can try lavender oil lavender is a excellent skin tonic it is relaxing also if you have pains rub it on. lavender is one of the few oils that can be put on skin. only use a little it is very powerful. dont ever put on sunscreen were you break out it will burn and your blisters will pop!i hope i helped you guys bye!
i have been dealing with eczema ever since i was a baby. I’ve gone through many prescription recommandations, but truely every bodytype will react differently to any sort of treatment. i’ve found for myself prescriptions that i’ve been prescribe to either work really well or make my eczema terrible worse. At the moment the most effective medication is Lyderm. in between when i get blisters i use baking soda and water i make a paste out of it, let it sit untill it drys and harden and it helps control and take away the eczema, i typically aim to do this every time i get a bad brake out on my hands and i do this b4 i go to bed.
Another helpful tip is to take away the itch and to dry up the blisters i use calamine lotion, i only go to bed with the calamine lotion on my skin because of its chalky white residue, but it replaces uncomfortalbe cotton gloves, i also make a point of have very short nails so if i scratch in my sleep i don,t irritate eczema infected areas. Let me know if any of these tips help u, good luck!
lolol, “avoid touching things”
