Beauty Secrets of Celebrity Hairstylists
Sunday November 20, 2005
In this month's Elle magazine (the one with Jen Aniston on the cover & yes, she still has fabulous hair), you'll find tips & tricks from the hottest celeb hairstylists in the country. A rundown of my favorites:
1. Dark-haired women need texture so they don't have helmet head, according to stylist Mark Townsend. Have your stylist cut layers for texture & add some wave with a curling iron.
2. To avoid 'crunchy hair,' skip the gel & use a light mousse instead before blow-drying, suggests Steven Ward.
3. What separates most women from celebs? Pomade. To get that 'piece-y' look just like the celebs, you'll want to separate hair into pieces with pomade. Enzo Angileri is a fan of Vaseline instead of expensive pomades. Who knew it could be used for that? Just make sure to use a little & warm it in your hand first.
