Beware Sonya: she’s a horrible, mean, pushy woman. I went in based on this and other reviews, and she proceeded to insult me and extort additional money out of me the entire time. What an awful experience. A quick Google search turns up many more.
Upon my prompt arrival I was ushered into a treatment room by one of Sonya’s assistants, had a face mask applied & asked to wait for the great lady. 2 hours later, Sonya appeared. No apology. She set to work telling me all about her famous clients, extracting my skin for 10minutes & telling her assistant not to do a peel as my face would be scarred. Reassuring. I was then given an oxygen treatment & mask which I naively presumed was part of the treatment. Needless to say I was a little taken back when she tried to charge me over $2500. For a $225 facial. I refused the series of “oxygen” treatments but was bullied into buying over $200 worth of products & charged $500 for the “oxygen” treatment that I didnt ask for. All in all my expected $225 treatment cost me $1090. Needless to say I was furious & checked out the labbb. org website to discover that she has a D rating & many complaints listed against her. Book a treatment at your peril.
BEWARE!!!! I believe that Sonya Dakar actually robbed from me. She left me waiting for over two haous with a mask on. She tells me that I have to buy all of the treatments to help better my skin. She was so awful that the pressure broke me down. I agreed to talk to my husband about it befor I would make the five thousand dollar commentment. I explained to her that I was not a famous person and I just had a baby so the money was a big factor… She ended up doing an oxegyn facial and light therapy on me I never asked for it. That day I ened up paying over 1000.00 dollars. I told her that my husband said that there was no way. Sonya made me pay another 500.00 dollars and said since I broke my series that i needed to pay full price for all the services she performed on me that day.( which took about 15 minutes). I still feel so taken advantage of but never complained to her. I truly do not know how she stays in business, and I really think if the celebraties that she so call does if thay only knew how much she named dropped would they go back???
